What Is ImPACT Testing?

This innovative neurocognitive test is specifically for athletes and others who are at risk for concussions. Here’s how it’s used.

  1. A baseline exam is administered before the start of the athletic season.
  2. If a concussion occurs, the test is retaken. The results are then compared to the baseline exam to help guide treatment.
  3. Even if a baseline test hasn’t been taken, ImPACT testing can be used after a concussion to help manage recovery.
