Where will I deliver?

As of April 1, we will be delivering babies in the beautifully renovated Women’s Pavilion at Ochsner Baptist. If you have questions about your delivery, please speak with your provider.

Does Ochsner accept my insurance?

What amenities are offered at the Women’s Pavilion?

Where would my child go if he/she needs a higher level of care?

Ochsner Baptist Women's Pavilion offers a 36-bed, Level 3 regional designation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This is the highest level designation awarded by the State of Louisiana. A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a highly specialized center for premature and special needs newborns and infants. A multi-disciplinary team approach is utilized to provide family-friendly care. Partnering with our colleagues in general and high-risk obstetrics, Ochsner's neonatologists optimize the outcome of each pregnancy.

Are midwives available?

Yes. The Perkin Alternative Birthing Center features a staff of Certified Nurse Midwives who provide mothers with a natural, holistic birth experience in a homelike environment.
