Innovative Treatments
Advanced Monitoring Capabilities
The Ochsner Epilepsy Program brings together board certified adult and pediatric epileptologists and neurosurgeons to provide thorough testing and comprehensive care. We specialize in seeing patients with epilepsy who have failed neuro or neuromodulation treatments previously.
Not only do we offer minimally invasive surgical options for people with epilepsy, we also provide access to clinical trials and other advanced therapies. In fact, we're the only site in Louisiana to offer Responsive Neurostimulation therapy (RNS®).
Ochsner is the only facility in Louisiana with an accredited epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) where patients with complex seizure disorders can be diagnosed and managed. We also offer home epilepsy monitoring, and we provide intra-cranial monitoring to prepare patients for surgery.
