Annual Mammograms
Starting at age 40, women with a moderate risk should begin screening with a mammogram each year. Those considered high-risk should schedule a breast MRI and mammogram every year starting at age 30.
Helpful Tips
Avoid wearing perfume, fragrant powder or deodorant
Wear separates. You will need to undress from the waist up for the screening
If this is your first mammogram at OLG, bring a list of all prior mammograms
Consider your cycle: Avoid scheduling your mammogram the week before or during your period
